(PITTSBURGH) – State Senator Devlin Robinson (R-37) will be hosting an Identity Theft Protection Fair this Saturday, August 21st from 9-11 a.m. at Ohio Township Community Park. Alongside Sen. Robinson will be Representative Valerie Gaydos (R-44) and Representative Anita Kulik (D-45) providing resources for constituents to keep themselves safe from identity theft.
“Identity theft can happen to anyone,” Senator Robinson stated. “It is important to offer services, so constituents are able to safely shred sensitive documents and personal information.”
Industrial shredders will be on-site to securely shred any documents. Please make sure to remove any binder clips, paperclips, or plastic folders. Items such as phone books, newspapers, or bound books will not be accepted. There is a two-grocery bag/small box limit for disposal. All boxes will be returned to vehicles. During this event, constituents may stay in their vehicle.
Deputy Joe Cirigliano from Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department will be onsite collecting unused prescription drugs for Project D.U.M.P. (Disposal of Unused/Expired Medications Properly).
“Project D.U.M.P. is a great addition to this event,” said Senator Robinson. “ Disposing of unused medications properly is an additional safety measure constituents can take to keep their homes safe.”
Constituents can call Senator Robinson’s office with any questions about this weekend’s event. The Robinson Township office can be reached by calling 412-643-3020 or the Bethel Park office by calling 412-785-3070.
The 37th Senate District is made up of portions of Allegheny and Washington counties.
