Senate Bill 8, a first-of-its-kind in the nation comprehensive breast cancer screening bill unanimously passed out of the Pennsylvania Senate in March.

John DiSanto (R-15), Tracy Pennycuick (R-24), and Devlin Robinson (R-37) offered their support for Senate Bill 8 as it advanced out of the House Insurance Committee earlier today. “Thank you to the House for moving forward with this important legislation that we know will save lives. I know first-hand the importance of genetic testing and supplemental screenings. In fact, had more testing and screening options been covered by insurance when I was diagnosed, my breast cancer may have been caught sooner or I may have considered a different treatment option.”
