Robinson Joining Fellow Lawmakers, School Officials and Business Executives to Present Scholarships to Allegheny County Families

ALLEGHENY – Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) will be joining fellow lawmakers, school officials and business executives at the Bridge Educational Foundation’s check presentation tomorrow, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m., at St. Louise de Marillac School located at 310 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair.

The Bridge Educational Foundation, through the support of Chubb, U.S. Steel and Waste Management, is donating more than $202,000 of scholarship money to the families of Allegheny County. Scholarship funds are made possible through Pennsylvania’s K-12 Educational Improvement Tax Credit and Opportunity Scholarship Programs.

The educational tax credit programs provide businesses the chance to enrich the lives of Pennsylvania children by improving the quality of their education and better preparing them for a future in the workplace. Since 2005, the Bridge Educational Foundation has raised more than $46 million dollars in scholarships for 36,000 students that would not otherwise have the option to attend a non-public school.
