Robinson Secures More Than $14 Million in State Funding to Fuel Jobs and Infrastructure in Allegheny County

HARRISBURG  Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) today announced more than $14 million funding has been awarded for various projects in Allegheny County through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).

“These projects will drive economic development in our region by creating jobs and improving infrastructure,” Robinson said. “I am proud to have advocated for this funding and look forward to seeing these projects benefit Allegheny County.”

Projects receiving funding include:

  • Allegheny County Airport Authority: $2 million for the Southfield Business Park
  • Bethel Park Borough: $568,000 for the Bethel Park Industrial Loop Project
  • Blue Sky Acquisition, LLC: $1 million for the Newbury Market Environmental Remediation
  • Friends of Pittsburgh Professional Soccer: $2 million for the Sports and Athletic Complex at Montour Junction IV
  • Midpoint Group of Companies, Inc: $1,975,000 for City’s Edge Redevelopment Project
  • Robert Morris University: $7 million for the university’s ice hockey facility

RACP is a grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects. RACP projects have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact and generate increases or maintain current levels of economic activity, including employment and tax revenue.
