Robinson Announces Nearly $300,000 in State Funding to Revitalize 37th District Communities

HARRISBURG – Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) announced nearly $300,000 in Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) grants are coming to the 37th Senatorial District. The funding will help local organizations revitalize neighborhoods, expand workforce and educational programs, and provide critical support for low-income families.

“This year, I proudly voted to increase funding for the Neighborhood Assistance Program, ensuring more revitalization dollars go directly back into communities in our district,” Robinson said. “These grants empower local organizations to improve neighborhoods, strengthen families, and give residents the tools they need to thrive.”

The approved funding includes:

Coraopolis Community Development Corporation – $213,750

Funds will help revitalize downtown Coraopolis through improvements to the community resource center, riverfront park collaboration, and grants for six business facades. The program will also continue providing food security and social services to residents in need.

North Hills Community Outreach (NHCO) – $63,000

NHCO will implement a family-centered coaching model to streamline services and empower clients. Funding will support program staff, food pantry supplies, necessities, and rent/utility assistance to prevent homelessness.

Junior Achievement of Western PA – $16,250

Junior Achievement will support 300 K–8 students in the Sto-Rox School District with financial literacy and career readiness programs, equipping students with essential life skills and improving long-term economic opportunities.

“These grants are more than dollars on paper — they’re investments in our neighborhoods, our children, and the future of our communities,” Robinson said.

The grants were approved by the Department of Community and Economic Development as part of NAP, which encourages partnerships among nonprofit organizations, businesses, and local communities to strengthen distressed areas and support individuals and families most in need. Through NAP, businesses receive tax credits for investing in community-based projects, helping ensure long-term, locally driven success.
