
HARRISBURG — Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) announced the approval of more than $3 million in state funding for critical infrastructure, public safety, recreation, and community development projects throughout the 37th Senatorial District. The funding was awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Local Share Account and Act 13 Programs, which support projects that improve the quality of life for Pennsylvania residents.
“These investments reflect our commitment to strengthening communities, improving public safety, and supporting local governments and nonprofits in their efforts to serve residents,” said Robinson. “I’m proud to have worked closely with my colleagues in the Allegheny County legislative delegation to advocate for these projects, and I’m grateful to see them receive the support they deserve.”
Local Share Account Funded Projects
Aleppo Township Authority – $300,000
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-44) secured $300,000 for the replacement of aging waterline and construction of emergency interconnection to improve water service reliability.
Ben Avon Heights Borough – $346,671
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Arvind Venkat (D-30) secured more than $346,000 for sewer system repairs including lining, spot repairs, and manhole replacements.
Bethel Park Municipal Authority – $662,198
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-40) secured more than $662,000 for the rehabilitation of interceptor sewer pipe and manholes to reduce inflow and infiltration.
Bethel Park Municipality – $59,637
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Mihalek secured nearly $60,000 for audiovisual upgrades at the Bethel Park Community Center to enhance meeting and event spaces.
Bridgeville Borough – $150,000
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Anita Kulik (D-45) secured $150,000 for the replacement of aging electrical infrastructure and installation of LED lighting at Chartiers Park.
Chartiers Valley District Flood Control Authority – $408,019
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Jason Ortitay (R-46) secured more than $408,000 for streambank restoration efforts along Millers Run to prevent erosion and protect infrastructure.
Collier Township – $100,300
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Kulik secured more than $100,000 to retrofit the Annandale Stormwater Pond to reduce pollution and meet environmental goals.
Jefferson Hills Borough – $145,000
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Andrew Kuzma (R-39) secured $145,000 for renovations to the Southeast Regional EMS building and parking lot to support EMT training.
Ohio Township (Verland Foundation) – $140,606
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Venkat secured more than $140,000 for the purchase of snow removal equipment for a facility serving disabled residents.
Quaker Valley Council of Governments (Valley Veterans Association) – $70,806
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Gaydos secured nearly $71,000 for HVAC upgrades at the Valley Veterans Association facility to improve comfort and usability.
Sewickley Heights Borough – $990,730
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Gaydos secured nearly $991,000 for the stabilization of an active landslide and reconstruction of Backbone Road.
South Fayette Township Municipal Authority – $50,000
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Ortitay secured $50,000 for the purchase of a jetter/vactor truck for sewer and stormwater system maintenance.
Upper St. Clair Township – $165,604
Sen. Robinson and Reps. Mihalek and Dan Miller (D-42) secured more than $165,000 for the installation of ADA-compliant shelving and signage at the public library.
Urban Redevelopment Authority (Pittsburgh Opera) – $80,170
Sens. Robinson, Jay Costa (D-43), and Wayne Fontana (D-42) secured over $80,000 in funding to support flooring renovations at the Bitz Opera Factory.
Act 13 Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program Projects
Bradford Woods Borough – $50,000
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Jeremy Shaffer (R-28) secured $50,000 for the planning of pedestrian facilities to improve walkability and safety.
Franklin Park Borough – $50,000
Sen. Robinson and Rep. Venkat secured $50,000 for bridge improvements along the Veteran’s Trail to enhance recreational access.
The CFA was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to administer the commonwealth’s economic stimulus packages. The Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act of 2004 provides for the distribution of gaming revenue through the CFA.
