It was great to meet NFL star Greg Lloyd Jr. and NFL Hall of Famer Champ Bailey at the State Capitol recently. Joined by former Pittsburgh Steeler, Verron Haynes, they came to Harrisburg to provide an overview of PA’s medical marijuana program and insights into how other states are structuring and refining their programs to better serve their citizens.
Thank you @achieva for presenting @senpisciottano and me with the Excellence in Government award! Achieva’s work to support and empower individuals with disabilities in our community is lifechanging for those they serve, and I’m proud to support them in Harrisburg through legislative initiatives that level the playing field for disabled individuals and veterans.
@senatorcosta and I are honored to host Pennsylvania’s Wreaths Across America event in Harrisburg to honor those who serve & remember all who have given their lives in service and sacrifice.
All are welcome to join us for our Capitol ceremony, to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 10am, which will kick off the national Wreaths Across America event the following weekend where volunteers will place millions of wreaths on the graves of servicemembers across the country, at sea, and abroad.

It was great to attend the groundbreaking of the Esplanade by Piatt Companies. This site on the Ohio River will revamp and reinvigorate Pittsburgh’s North Side by creating jobs, injecting millions into the local economy, and attracting both residents and tourists to our great city!
To close reporting gaps and better protect children in digital spaces, the Senate approved legislation requiring teachers, doctors, and other mandated reporters to notify authorities of all child sexual abuse material they’re aware of – including AI-generated.
ICYMI – I sat down with @psea_org president Aaron Chapin on the @PANewsmakers program last week to talk about my legislation to implement a bell-to-bell policy prohibiting student cellphone use during school hours. You can watch the full episode on their website at newsmakerstv.com
Eliminating RGGI is a major win for Pennsylvania workers and families. This illegal carbon tax would have driven up electricity bills, cut jobs, and weakened our energy independence – I’m proud to have joined many of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and supported its elimination in this year’s state budget.
In honor of Small Business Saturday, shop local, and show the many small businesses throughout the 37th district some love and support!
My legislative survey on student cellphone use in schools will close on December 1, so be sure to submit your response by the end of the month! Share your thoughts at the link in my bio.
No-cost follow-up diagnostic imaging for patients who receive abnormal breast cancer screening results was signed into law on Nov. 24! This is a major advancement in cancer care and early detection, and I was proud to vote in favor of its passage. As always, if you have questions about what this means for you, please call my office and my staff can help!
Wishing all of my constituents a very happy Thanksgiving!
In observance of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, my offices will be closed Nov. 27 and 28, and will reopen on Monday, December 3rd.
