HARRISBURG — Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) announced today that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) has approved nearly $5 million for the Findlay Township Municipal Authority’s new staff office and garage project in Allegheny County.
The funding for the project will be used to construct an additional building adjacent to its current office and garage. The new facility will provide essential office, locker and garage space necessary to support the operations of the wastewater system, serving a population of 6,890 across 2,886 residential connections.
“The approval of this project is a critical step in improving the infrastructure and operational capabilities of the Findlay Township Municipal Authority,” said Robinson. “This investment not only supports the efficient management of our wastewater system but also underscores our commitment to maintaining robust public health and community infrastructure.”
The Findlay Township Municipal Authority operates a sewer system that is crucial for the local community. The expansion project will ensure that the authority can continue to provide high-quality service without increasing user fees.
The state’s PENNVEST Program provides low-interest loans and grants for the design, engineering and construction of drinking water distribution facilities, stormwater conveyance and wastewater treatment and collection systems.
