HARRISBURG – Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) announced today that the Commonwealth Financing Agency (CFA) has awarded over $3 million in grant funds for economic development projects.
“These projects will improve many of our communities, all at zero cost to the taxpayers,” Robinson said. “I will continue to support programs that leverage our economic opportunities to make our district a more inviting and prosperous place to call home.”
The funding through the Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund (GEDTF) is made possible through a state law requiring casinos to pay a daily assessment of 5.5% of their gross terminal revenues.
The GEDTF grants for the 37th Senatorial District include:

Leet Township Park Improvements – $300,000
Sewickley Heights Borough Parking Lot Reconstruction & Storm Sewer Project – $190,000

Learning Brick by Brick – $500,000
- Municipal Authority of the Township of Robinson
Raw Water Intake Rehabilitation – $500,000
- Whitehall Fire Company
Vehicle Exhaust System – $70,000

Pedestrian Light Replacement Project – $100,000
- Char-West Council of Governments
Crescent Maple St. Improvements – $150,000
- Jefferson Hills Borough
Andrew Reily Memorial Park ADA Bathroom Renovation – $172,500
- South Fayette Township
Fairview Park Multipurpose Fields – $151,250
- Findlay Township
Davis Road Culvert Replacement – $150,000

The grants were awarded by the CFA under its Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund and are dispersed by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.
