Our public libraries are vital community resources, and the new state budget includes a $5 million boost to support libraries across Pennsylvania! This investment will help strengthen local libraries in Allegheny County ensuring they continue to serve as hubs for learning, connection, and opportunity. I was glad to advocate for this in the budget negotiations, and I’m very thankful to my constituents who shared personal stories with me about the importance of public libraries to them and their families.

Today, I hosted a ceremony at the State Capitol to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps. I joined my fellow Marines to commemorate the occasion with a traditional cake-cutting ceremony and recognize new Marines as they symbolically took their oath to join the U.S. Marine Corps. Thank you to everyone to joined the ceremony and made it a great success. Semper Fi!
