Lawmakers Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Prohibit Student Cellphone Use in Pennsylvania Schools
Citing the steep decline in youth mental health and academic performance during the past decade, Sens. Devlin Robinson (R-37), Vince Hughes (D-7), and Steve Santarsiero (D-10) today announced the introduction of bipartisan legislation requiring Pennsylvania schools to adopt policies prohibiting student cellphone use during the school day. Happy 20th anniversary of the opening of the @upperstclairvfd Washington Road Main Fire Station! Thank you for always keeping the community safe.
It was wonderful to see everyone at the Pittsburgh Columbus Day Parade! I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend.
I couldn’t be prouder of the work that’s been happening at the @pitairport ! When the new terminal opens later this year, it will connect Pittsburgh to the world, serving as a gateway for opportunity into this region. It was an honor to be part of the Transformed PIT Ribbon Cutting today.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who attended my Senior Expo as a guest or a vendor this year! We had a wonderful turnout, and I hope all attendees were able to learn from the expertise and resources offered by the vendors. My staff and I look forward to hosting this event again next year!
Congratulations to St. Clair Hospital on their first class of Graduate Medical Students in the #EDULAB! These hand-selected doctors are paving the way for medicine and healthcare, and I look forward to seeing how the success and innovation of the program will impact the Pittsburgh area.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the @pabreastcancer coalition has turned the State Capitol fountain pink! The pink fountain will honor breast cancer survivors and thrivers throughout the commonwealth and serve as a place of remembrance for those we have sadly lost to breast cancer. I was honored to participate in this press conference bringing awareness to this cause.
The Pittsburgh Business Exchange brings together professionals, community leaders, and entrepreneurs for unique networking opportunities with the goal of fostering connections and strengthening Pittsburgh businesses. @senatorbartolotta and I were pleased to welcome them to the PA Capitol today!

Congratulations on 250 years! Located in Collier Township, @woodvilleexperience is a principal link to 18th Century Southwestern PA. John Neville, then-commander at Ft. Pitt, constructed this home in 1775. Today, at Liberty Tree, a Sycamore sapling from Neville’s friend and colleague George Washington’s Mt. Vernon Estate was planted. The historic site played a key role in the Whiskey Rebellion, as well. Thank you to Susan, Rob, Sue, and all the volunteers at Woodville. We truly appreciate their efforts in keeping our history alive.

The Allegheny Conference and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council hosted a summit today to discuss defining the future of responsible advanced nuclear deployment in the commonwealth. Industry leaders shared insights on the sector and explored the role of advanced nuclear in achieving energy dominance and spurring economic opportunity.
Meet Devlin Robinson
Robinson was first elected to the 37th Senatorial District in 2020. His legislative priorities include: lowering and reforming tax codes; assisting and honoring veterans, first responders and law enforcement; supporting small businesses; and enhancing manufacturing and labor opportunities. He has had nine bills signed into law.
