As students return to school, it is past time for PA to ensure fairness for women and girls taking part in collegiate and public K-12 school sports. We in the Senate voted twice to approve bipartisan legislation requiring scholastic sports teams to be designated based on biological sex.
House leadership needs to bring this commonsense measure up for a vote this fall.
As chair of the 9/11 Memorial Trail Caucus, I was glad to speak with WTAE about my support of the mission of the @911trail to honor the heroes from that historic day. The 9/11 Memorial Trail will do this by “creating and championing a living memorial that connects the three attack sites, educates future generations, and brings communities together through shared remembrance.”

There is no level of lead exposure that is safe for children. Testing for lead in school drinking water is not an effective solution on its own, because it identifies the problem after it’s too late.
Filters to eliminate the lead is the safest solution. Learn more about my bill to implement a filter-first policy in PA schools at the link in my bio.

@uscschools robotics students are developing skills that will define the future of our economy. Solving complex problems, writing code, and designing and building sophisticated machines are life skills that countless employers are looking for in tomorrow’s workforce.
That’s why I’ve sponsored legislation with @senatorsaval to expand access to K-12 robotics programs across Pennsylvania.
