I joined my colleague, @senator_tartaglione, to introduce legislation designating today as Manufacturing Day in Pennsylvania. Today we celebrate the vital role that manufacturing plays in Pennsylvania’s economy and development. The sector is rapidly growing, and there’s never been a better time to explore a career in modern manufacturing!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Early detection is critical, which is why I am a proud co-sponsor of legislation to expand insurance coverage to include additional screenings and other important measures.

As September comes to a close, we must continue to do more to help our veterans who struggle in silence. Awareness for veterans suicide ought to be recognized year round. Please know that help is available, and you are not alone. Meet Devlin Robinson

Senator Devlin Robinson was raised in Brookline in Pittsburgh’s south end. He served in the United States Marine Corps, completing three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. After he returned to Pittsburgh, he founded his own company and finished his education.

Robinson was first elected to the 37th Senatorial District in 2020. His legislative priorities include: lowering and reforming tax codes; assisting and honoring veterans, first responders and law enforcement; supporting small businesses; and enhancing manufacturing and labor opportunities. He has had nine bills signed into law.
